Ida Mamarika

Ida is a Warnindilyakwa woman. Her Aboriginal name is Maljinabina, her clan group is Mamarika and her totems are Morning Star, Seagull and Tiger Shark. She was raised at Umbakumba and her family speaks for much of the traditional lands in that area. Undertaking this business venture is a new challenge for Ida and with the help and support of her partner and family members wants to become the first Indigenous owned and operated tourism business on Eylandt.

Christopher Maminyamanja

Christopher is a Warnindilyakwa man and his Aboriginal name is Babali. His clan group is
Maminyamanja and his totems are Swordfish, Stingray and Shovelnose Shark. Christopher is Ida’s life partner and business partner. He has extensive land and sea management experience. Christopher is a traditional owner for the Maminyamanja land area.

Matthew Wurrawilya

Matthew is a Warnindilyakwa man and his Aboriginal name is Ningenungmarrakwa. His clan group is
Wurrawilya and his totems are Sea Eagle, Sugar bag and Long Tom. Matthew is Lena's life partner and business partner. Matthew is a traditional owner for the Wurrawilya land area.

Lena Mamarika

Lena is a Warnindilyakwa woman. Her Aboriginal name is Dingamalkingamba, her clan group is
Mamarika and her totems are Morning Star, Seagull and Tiger Shark. Lena was raised at Umbakumba and with her family continues to care and maintain their traditional country. It is Lena’s vision for a sustainable future for young Warnindilyakwan people to get more involved in the Tourism industry.
